A one-off large bowl for salads or fruit thrown in a grainy red stoneware clay. Coated in my raw white glaze. The finish on this piece varies from shiny/satin on the inside to matt on the outside. I have taken the trouble to glaze the underside of this bowl, not just for aesthetic reasons, but to keep the base protected from greasy fingers and food spills.
The visible throwing lines add character to the piece and are also an intentional reference to the human hand that was present throughout the making process.

Care
You can put this bowl in the dishwasher, but bear in mind that this is an aggressive cleaning option, even for industrially made tableware. To keep your handmade pottery in tip-top condition we recommend washing by hand. Regular use in the microwave isn’t recommended because the thermal shock may cause cracking in both the body and the glaze.
