The perfect plate for light meals, tapas, sandwiches, desserts or restaurant style presentation of food. Thrown one by one in a grainy red stoneware clay and coated in my own raw white satin-matt glaze. I take the trouble to glaze the underside of these plates, not just for aesthetic reasons, but to keep the base protected from greasy fingers and food spills.
Variables in the glazing and firing process mean that the tone of each finished plate can range between a soft white and a mottled beige. See all photos. These differences are part of the appeal of handmade ceramics and should be embraced.
I custom formulate my own glazes and they are exclusive to my studio.

20cm x 2cm (w x h). This is a handmade product and small differences in shape and size are part of their charm.
Care
You can put these pieces in the dishwasher, but bear in mind that this is an aggressive cleaning option, even for industrially made tableware. To keep your handmade pottery in tip-top condition we recommend washing by hand. Regular use in the microwave isn’t recommended because the thermal shock may cause cracking in both the body and the glaze.
